Flare Gun, 2013 16.1h bay gelding

This very pretty, solid bodied, lightly raced young guy is a clean slate to take in any direction you want, and he is a bargain price as well!  We think he is an exceptional prospect for the H/J ring or for eventing or dressage. After only two races, Flare Gun is not showing enough racing ability, and his trainer realizes his potential for a new career.  HIs legs are very clean, and he is described as completely sound. We admired his strong bone, huge shoulder, and compact balanced build.  Since he is only three, he is going to grow a bit more, and we think he is going to be quite the stunner when he has finished growing and is completely filled out.  At the jog, he showed good suspension and reach.  Flare Gun has strong turf breeding, which often translates well to cross-country. He is by Shakespeare, who was a major turf stakes winner by turf champion Theatrical. This is the Nureyev branch of the Northern Dancer sire line.  He has Raja Baba, Hoist the Flag, and two different strains of Bold Ruler on his dam side.  Everyone says they are looking for good sized, good looking, sound, good moving young lightly raced geldings for a bargain price — well here he is folks, so call fast!
