Fly Me, 2014 16.2h+ bay gelding with chrome

This gorgeous big young son of Freud had our volunteers reaching for superlatives.  Stunning, fabulous, droolworthy… you get the idea.  Fly Me is described as “sound, sound, sound,” but just not showing enough racing talent. He has won one race in his 10 starts, but since that maiden win last year, he has shown little interest in being competitive as a racehorse. His owner/breeders do not want to persist with him on the track, when he has such unlimited potential to excel in eventing, or in the hunter/jumper ring.  Fly Me has a balanced uphill build, good bone, good feet, a good mind, very clean legs, and he is a beautiful mover — this one ticks all the boxes! Since he is only three, he will surely grow some more, and should top out at or above 16.3h.  When he walked and jogged for his video, we saw a huge overstep to his flowing walk, and a big strided but light and balanced trot nice enough to get attention in the show hunter or dressage arena.  The assistant trainer who showed him to us says he is a sweet horse, good to handle and well behaved to ride. She said he is strong to gallop, but never gives his rider any problem. Due to his young age, big size and stride,  forward gallop, and huge sport potential, we recommend that only experienced riders interested in serious sport or showing consider Fly Me. If you are looking for an upper level event prospect or an A circuit hunter/jumper prospect, Fly Me is for you! His pedigree is excellent for jumping. His sire Freud is very popular with eventers and people looking for good jumpers; his stakes winning dam is by Belong to Me, a son of Danzig.
