Hey Frost Giant fans – check out this gorgeous dappled liver chestnut daughter of this coveted sport horse sire! We often visit with this super sweet daughter of Frost Giant every time we go into her trainer’s barn, because Frosty is just the friendliest filly, who begs to be petted and plied with peppermints, and we are always happy to comply. Her groom says “she is the sweetest thing in the entire world!” You can see evidence of that in the photos, since Frosty is snuggling her head into her groom’s arms in some of them! The groom also reports that Frosty is “sound as a dollar bill,” and her trainer confirmed that she is very sound, and we observed good clean legs. Frosty is very pretty, a striking dark liver chestnut with amazing dapples, with well proportioned balanced conformation and a strong shoulder and deep girth. She has had 32 starts, with two wins and several seconds. But she hasn’t hit the board this year, so her owner has decided it is a good time to let her move on to a new career. Frosty is a very good mover, with a light balanced trot and reach from the shoulders — she has the flatter kneed movement for the hunter ring, and we also think that dressage and eventing will be ideal outlets for her. In the past few years we have placed two of her full siblings, and both are now succeeding in eventing careers. She is by Frost Giant, a very popular sport horse sire who is a son of Giant’s Causeway out of a Gone West mare. Her dam Attache is by Seeking the Gold, and has produced a multiple stakes placed runner. Frosty on the Case is inbred 5×4 to the great racemare and broodmare Numbered Account, which should appeal to breeders. She also traces tail female to foundation mare and champion Bayou, a family rich in stakes winners and producers.
