Game of Stones, 2013 16h chestnut gelding: retained by owner

This cleverly named son of Bustin Stones has great potential for any new discipline.  He has an athletic and balanced uphill build and a good sloping shoulder, and since he is only three he is going to grow and fill out some more.  Lightly raced, with only 9 starts, his trainer says he is not showing enough racing ability in the next level of race conditions since he broke his maiden to warrant bringing him back next year, so he wants to find him a new home where he can excel in another endeavor. His trainer says he is completely sound (the leg poultice was standard post-training morning care in this barn), and a very good boy to handle and ride who never gives him any problem.  For his jog video, Game of Stones showed balanced movement with flat kneed action, although the trainer moved slowly so this young horse could not really move out to strut his full trot. To further assess his movement we watched the video of his one winning race, and observed a beautiful fluid, balanced, efficient flat kneed gallop.  With lots of great jumping lines in his pedigree — City Zip, Relaunch, In Reality, Gone West, Damascus, Hail to Reason — we see exciting potential here for eventing or the hunter ring.
