Greenway, 2013 15.3 chestnut filly: retained by owner

A flashy daughter of Freud, lightly raced, with unlimited potential!  After only two starts, Greenway is letting her trainer know that racing is not her game, so he would like to find her a new career where she can excel.  We admired her correct and balanced conformation, deep girth, and sloping shoulder– she looks very athletic. And her striking blaze and cute white chin just add to the adorable picture. Her trainer says she is sound, and her legs were clean.  He said that Greenway is a strong horse to ride, and would be best for an experienced rider to bring along.  This young filly is likely to grow some more as she matures, and we think she will look stunning once she fills out and loses the tucked up race horse physique.  She had trained on the track just before her photo session, and we saw her just as she emerged from her post work out bath, so she was a bit stiff for her jog video. Based on her pedigree, which is excellent for sport, and the fact that all of the many Freud offspring we have seen and placed have turned out to be athletic good movers who can jump and are bold enough for eventing, we think Greenway could be an excellent sport horse prospect.  Her dam is by a son of Tri Jet, from stout Fred Hooper breeding lines, anther pedigree element known for producing durable sport horses.
