Here He Fitz, 2010, 16.2 Dark bay gelding

Ready for another guy that is on the cusp of warhorse status? Here he is! Fitz started his racing career on the NYRA circuit, breaking his maiden at Aqueduct in 2014, but has spent the bulk of his time racing here at Finger Lakes.  He has been a good race horse earning over $113,000 in 50 lifetime starts with 4 wins, 6 seconds, and 7 thirds.  With that success under his girth, his connections are ready to let him retire to find a new career. We can’t emphasize enough how sweet and mild mannered Here He Fitz was during our photo shoot.  While another horse was leaping through the air very close by, Here He Fitz stood politely on a loose lead without batting an eye.  It appeared that Here He Fitz had his ankles blistered in the past few months but we were unable to get information on this due to a language barrier (his contact person should be able to assist with this).  He is by War Chant out of a Woodman mare.  We would love to see this horse be the next “comeback kid”.  A little elbow grease, TLC, and retraining, and this boy will be spectacular.  He already showed lofty movement at his jog with good movement from his shoulder (and on a loose lead at that).  Another great RRP project!  Please note:  the contact person for Here He Fitz is not the trainer.  She is a very kind hearted track liaison who acts a contact person due to the trainer’s language barrier.  She is hugely helpful in finding many horses’ new homes and will answer any and all questions to the best of her ability.
