HOT TO PARTY, 2017 16h bay mare

This very pretty daughter of Desert Party is described by her handler as “just a very nice horse to be around.” He says she is well mannered, gentle, and just loves to be loved on. We admired her well-balanced conformation, elegant head and kind eye.  She has the look of an elegant show hunter, and she is also a nice mover with a flowing big step.  But a lighter work career, perhaps limited to flat work or low level jumping, would be best for her, since after she came up sore after her last workout at the end of August, her trainer x-rayed her knee and she has a hairline crack in the third joint.  We took her photos and video ten days after her workout, and she was very well behaved even though she had been on stall rest, and she moved welly a couple of steps that were slightly off before she leveled out.  This is a good sign for a good healing prognosis.  We had a show hunter trainer who is experienced with pony hunters and pony hunter breeding accompanying us around that track on the morning we saw Hot to Party, and she thought that Hot to Party would be an outstanding broodmare prospect  to cross with Welsh pony stallions to produce TB/Welsh cross pony hunters– an increasingly popular cross for the show ring. The trainer can make the x-rays available to seriously interested buyers.  Hot to Party’s sire, Desert Party, is by Street Cry, and he has proven to be a popular sport horse sire who gets ammy friendly offspring with good brains, good movement, and excellent jumping ability.  Her dam is by Roaring Fever out of a mare from the Majestic Prince sire line.
