It’s My Business, 2011 dark bay 15.3h filly

This dappled dark beauty has been quite the big hearted successful race horse, with 6 wins, 3 seconds, and 2 thirds in only 15 starts.  In her last race in late July, she was checked, and cracked a sesamoid bone in her ankle… but still won, so she is retiring from racing as a winner.  The ankle has been x-rayed, and we were informed that the vet says the crack is in a good place for full recovery with no limitations, after appropriate rest and rehab.  Her trainer says she is a very intelligent mare, very well behaved, although she is touchy about grooming.  She posed like a model, and we admired not only her dappled coat but her  solid bone and excellent correct conformation.  Because her injury was so recent, we asked only for a walk video, and we saw a flowing  big stride.  It’s My Business is very well bred, and with her race record, she is an excellent broodmare prospect.  She is by rising young sire star Street Boss, a son of super sire Street Cry, and her dam is a young Mineshaft daughter out of a stakes producing Dixieland Band mare. Her second dam is a graded stakes producer whose daughters have produced Grade I winners; her third dam is a stakes winner and stakes producer, and her 4th dam is a graded stakes winner and graded stakes producer. Lots of quality black type in this female family.  It’s My Business also has an excellent pedigree for sport horse breeding.  While we emphasize her quality pedigree for breeding, It’s My Business also has great potential for sport or pleasure disciplines once her ankle is rehabbed.  Horses of her intelligence, heart and determination have so much to offer!
