We offered this gorgeous big mare last summer (at a much higher price) and she quickly had a line of people who wanted to buy her. But then, much to her trainer’s surprise, she somehow won a race (at 36-1 odds!) so he wanted to keep her for racing.  She hasn’t won since, and now with the race meet ending in three weeks, and a longer than usual fall/winter boarding farm bill staring him in the face, the trainer realizes he has to let her go on to a new career this year. Leinster Lass is all she was when we first listed her”: big, beautiful, with a striking heart on her forehead and an unusual white streak in her mane and on her neck; kind and good to handle, a very good mover, sound and clean legged, and a great sport horse prospect.  Leinster Lass has a big swinging walk with a good  overstep, and she has good reach from her shoulders at the trot. She is fully eligible for the 2021 RRP. We know that there are big fans of Afleet Alex and Smokin Mel offspring out there — and Leinster Lass is a granddaughter of both!  Her sire is Dublin, a son of Afleet Alex.  We have placed a few Dublin offspring over the last few years, and they are doing well both in eventing and show hunters, and tend to be bold jumpers with very good form. Leinster Lass’s dam, Marian B, is by Smokin Mel out of a Polish Numbers mare. Fappiano, Danzig, and Buckpasser are great sporting lines on her dam side.
