Lelamaux, 2012, 15.2h, dark bay filly

The lovely Lelamaux impressed us with her well balanced correct conformation, uphill build, very nice movement, and pretty head with a kind eye. She is ready to find a new career because since breaking her maiden this spring in a four and a half furlong sprint, she is not as competitive in the next level of race conditions — she shows good speed but cannot sustain it at longer distances. Her trainer says she is very sound, easy to ride, gallops in a D bit, and is good to handle. She does crib slightly, but it is controlled with a collar. She showed a flowing, even and balanced trot. We also watched the video of her winning race, and when she cantered back we could see that her canter is also flowing and balanced. She has an excellent sport pedigree. Her sire, Leroidesanimaux, is from the Blushing Groom sire line; her dam is by Grindstone, who is from the Fappiano sire line. With her speed, balance, and smaller stature, she could make an excellent polo prospect. But we can also see her doing well in any discipline.
