A better name for this cute sweetheart would be “Little Adorable Boy!”  After only three races, he is showing no racing ability — he would rather hang out with people, cuddle with them, and soak up the sun and eat mints and grass, as he did today while our volunteers photographed him and oohed and aahed over his all around cuteness.  He has a nice balanced, solid bodied build, good feet, and he showed very nice movement for his jog video. His handler reports that he is easy to work with, has no vices, loves to nuzzle and lick people ( as we watched him lick her face like a puppy dog!). She says he is kind, agreeable, and well behaved to ride, so much so that a very inexperienced, still learning the ropes, exercise rider at the track has ridden him without any problem.  We can see “Monster” excelling in many new disciplines off the track, from children’s or adult’s show hunter, to hunter paces and fox hunting and trail rides, to an all around pleasure horse.  He has a very good pedigree for sport/jumping. He is by  Line of David, who is a grandson of Tale of the Cat out of a Seattle Slew granddaughter. His dam is by Cryptoclearance, a highly sought after jumping sire who is by Fappiano out of a Hoist the Flag mare.He also has Halo/Hail to Reason and Al Hattab on his dam’s side.  He is likely to grow a bit more, and will probably top out at 16 h or a bit more. With his solid build he will take up the leg of a taller rider.   He has an old set splint and pin firing marks, but is sound and a lovely mover.  He is reasonably priced for such a sweet and attractive young horse, so we recommend calling fast to be the lucky person to bring this snuggle “Monster” into your life!
