If you’re looking for your very own black beauty, look no further! While Magic Grits may not be truly black, his dark, dappled and shiny coat sure looks nearly black This sweet, young man captivated our volunteers with his friendly attitude, balanced conformation, kind eye, and lovely movement. He exudes class and his connections report that he is a truly special horse who does everything right — except run fast. Thus, his specialness will best be appreciated in disciplines other than racing. After 5 starts, he has yet to come close to winning. But we think he will be a winner for sure in a new career! He has no vices and is reported to be sound and very easy to work with on the ground and in the saddle. He stood patiently while our volunteers took their photos and he was definitely seeking out attention. He jogged politely despite the cold and rainy weather, and golf carts and cars driving up alongside. While in his stall, he hung his head over and waited for anyone who would come and give him kisses. He is by Mineshaft, a son of AP Indy. His dam, Saythreehailmarys, is by Repent out of a mare from the Devil’s Bag/Halo line.. This is that tall dark and handsome young gelding that everyone is looking for!
