Majestic Serenade, 2011 15.2h bay filly

This sweet and solid bodied still growing young filly has an outstanding pedigree full of racing royalty that makes her an excellent broodmare prospect.  Her race record is also top notch, with one win in maiden special weight company, and three seconds, including in an open maiden special weight at Saratoga, in her 4 race career.  She came out of her last race with an injured right knee, so broodmare or light pleasure riding are her best new careers. She is by Majestic Warrior, the hot young sire son of AP Indy who has already sired champion Princess of Sylmar in his first crop. Majestic Serenade’s dam is a half sister to the winner of the Grade I prestigious Alabama Stakes and other stakes winners,  and her multiple grades stakes producing second dam just happens to be a half sister to the great Holy Bull!  This means Majestic Serenade’s third dam is also the dam of Holy Bull. Majestic Serenade’s yearling full sister just sold at the Keeneland September sale for $75,000… so there is much more black type potential in her immediate and young female family.

Majestic Serenades’ trainer tells us that she has been competitive and willing on the race track, full of heart and a hard trier.  These are traits worth passing on!  She is described as sweet with a little sass on occasion, and has no vices. The owner of the farm near the Finger Lakes race track where Majestic Serenade is resting says she has been a very well behaved girl to handle.  She does have a sway back, but her trainer says this never bothered her on the track and that she is very athletic (as her excellent race record indicates).  She also has a small blind spot in the middle of her right eye, but it does not impair her vision or racing ability.  We did not get a jog video due to her knee, but we watched the videos of her races, and she is a beautiful mover, fluid and efficient.

We have reason to think she needs to find a home as soon as possible.  This is a rare opportunity to get a very well bred filly who will be suitable for the court of many Kentucky quality stallions, at a bargain price.
