This fancy moving  young horse has shown his connections after just one race that his talents lie in a show horse direction, not in racing. Maple Lane is a gorgeous, glowing with healthy dapples,  very well put together  horse who undoubtedly will grow more since he is only 2, but he is never going to be huge — we can see him eventually topping out at 15.3h.  His handler, who is also the contact person, says that Maple Lane is very sound, and a good boy with no bad habits, and that when she ponied him to his one and only race,  he was very well  behaved and handled the new experience of a racing afternoon very well. We also saw a respectful nature as she brought him out for photos and video.  He showed off light and lofty movement for his jog video, even though he was a bit on the muscle with a lot of activity around him and could not fully trot out. He is by Trappe Shot out of a mare who is a half sister to the great Holy Bull.  A young son of Trappe Shot that we placed last year is excelling as a show hunter on the A circuit, and Holy Bull relatives are well known for great brains and temperaments and lovely movement and jumping ability.  Give Maple Lane some time to grow up, and we think you will have a truly spectacular horse for the show hunters or dressage.
