MIKEKNOWSBEST, 2014 16.2h dark bay gelding

Located at Finger Lakes Race Track, Farmington, NY
Big handsome Mike is a homebred so his owner can tell you his entire history. And his pedigree is outstanding for eventing/sport horse disciplines! The owner described Mike as a very sensible and friendly horse, no issues or vices, very sound, clean legged, but just too slow to be a racehorse.  Mike has had only 5 races, and has always been well behind the pack.  He didn’t even make his first start until last fall, so he was never rushed as a youngster and was allowed to fully mature before put into training. Mike gleamed with dappled good health, was very polite and well behaved for his photo session, and showed a big strided walk and light jaunty trot for his jog video. He is fully eligible for the 2021 RRP.  His sire is Encaustic, who is by Broad Brush out of a Stop the Music/Hail to Reason mare.  Broad Brush has sired many sport horses and steeplechasers, and the Hail to Reason line is also known for stamina and jumping prowess. Mike’s dam, Dancin Daze, is by Cure the Blues, another son of Hail to Reason, out of a Dr. Fager mare. Mike’s second dam is by Valid Appeal, from the In Reality/Intentionally sire line.  Mike should be on the lists of anyone looking for an eventing prospect but he has unlimited potential for any discipline you want to do with him.
