Use your imagination to look beyond the dusty coat to see the potential in this lovely chestnut guy who has an impressive enough race record but has had a not-so-great 2015. He has had several trainers and is currently with a trainer who admits that he doesn’t have time for him. “Miles” has raced only 21 times yet has hit the board 50% of the time, with 4 wins and 6 in-the-money finishes out of those starts, so he has the athleticism and heart of a “good doer”.
As we were getting his photos, a trainer bathing a horse nearby commented that “Miles” is one of the coolest horses he has ever worked with, having been his groom for two years when he was in another barn. He couldn’t offer enough good things to say about him and noted that a particularly selective exercise rider loved to gallop him because he was “perfect”. He was feeling frisky on the morning of his interview, presumably because he is out of race training and hasn’t been doing much. His movement certainly shows potential for putting the miles in on cross country and with the effusive positive commentary of his former groom, we think he is an exciting prospect for your sporting discipline.
