Who wouldn’t love to kiss that white “kiss spot” on this lovely mare’s nose? Miss Gold Medalist has been a good racehorse earning over $67,000 in her 24 starts with 4 wins, 2 seconds, and 7 thirds. Despite hitting the board in 50% of her starts this year, her connections acknowledge her heart isn’t in the game as much and they are ready to send her on to a second career. They report she is a super friendly and sweet girl who likes to bond and connect with her handler/rider. They think she would love to have someone to call her “person”. They report she is good to work with and ride. The cold windy day had her feeling her oats when we did her photo shoot, but she was just fidgety, nothing naughty. They report she is retiring sound without any vices. We could see her excelling as an eventing or jumpers partner, but she could go many other directions too! She will be eligible for RRP 2023. Miss Gold Medalist is by Golden Ticket, who is a son of Speightstown from the Gone West sire line and out of a Deputy Minister mare. Miss Gold Medallist’s dam is by Mineshaft (an AP Indy son) out of a mare from Dayjur/Danzig and Alydar lines.
