For our volunteers, it was ALL love as we admired this gorgeous big kind mare with a fantastic sport horse pedigree.  Over her racing career, Mostly Love has won 6 races, with 20 in the money finishes. But her owner/trainer says she is letting him know she just doesn’t want to race anymore, so it is time to find her a new career where her beautiful shiny looks, solid build, and big strided good movement will turn heads.  He says she is sound, is a “big pet,” and that she turns out well with other horses, both geldings and mares. He told us that over the winter, his wife rode Mostly Love around their farm, and the mare was very well behaved.  Even though Mostly Love just wanted to drag her trainer over to the grass when he jogged her for us, we could still see that she is a very nice mover, with a powerful big stride and good engagement from behind.  She is sired by Leroidesanimaux (one of three of his daughters that we photographed today!), who is from the Blushing Groom sire line, was a turf champion, and is best known as the sire of Derby winner Animal Kingdom.  Her dam is by Roberto’s son Lear Fan, and is a half sister to Read the Footnotes, who has sired many horses who have gone on to notable success in eventing and jumping disciplines.  With this pedigree, Mostly Love has excellent broodmare potential, either for racing or sport.
