When he refused to break from the gate at his last race, this lovely gentleman finally got what he wanted and said sayonara to racing forever! His owner admitted that he had been giving him all the signs of being done and now he really is.

As he quietly stood in the bright sun, we admired his gleaming coat and very nice, uphill build and beautiful shoulder. He is reported to be always as quiet and respectful as he was being on this morning, and the owner stated  that his young son has ridden him around the backside. At the jog, My Hometown Boy was light and balanced on a long, loose lead.

We really like this handsome fellow and think he is a bargain for the price.
