Nakita Gold, 2013 15.3h chestnut mare

This beautiful dark chestnut, solid bodied mare is a homebred, who has been with the same connections her whole life.  The contact person (who is the daughter of the breeder/owner) is the one who handled her as a youngster and broke her to saddle — so you can get the whole history.  Nakita Gold has had 14 starts with no wins, so racing is just not her game.  But with her good looks, good conformation, and very nice movement, she can be a star in any new discipline.  She has spent a lot of time on a farm, is reported to be good to handle (her owner/breeder who is an older woman, reportedly handles her just fine), is good in turn out, and has been unflappable with dogs running around and a lot of activity going on around her.   She is described as sound with no vices, and her legs are clean.  For her jog video she showed off a quiet balanced  toe pointing trot with lightness, suspension, and good rhythm. With he lovely movement we can see her as a show hunter or doing well in all phases of eventing.   Her sire Catienus, has offspring that have been placed through FLF who are excelling at the top levels of the show hunter world, and as eventers.  Her dam is by Gold Token out of a mare by With Approval, who is a son of Caro out of a Buckpasser mare. These are lines coveted by both the show hunter and eventing disciplines.  We think this lovely young mare is one of the bargains of the season!
