This stunning big young gelding has a lot of fans already! His breeder has been in touch with us to say what a wonderful loved horse he is and they desperately want to be able to keep in touch with whoever is lucky enough to get him. And other people who have worked with this horse and loved him have also let us know that they have been following him and want to get him or to keep in touch with whoever does. These are rare and very important indications that this horse is indeed very special! New Stones is described by his handler as a very playful and friendly horse who loves people and attention and interacting. He also says that New Stones is sound and has no issues or vices. We were mesmerized by New Stones’ beautiful spotted dark roan good looks with lots of flashy chrome. He also showed very good movement for his jog video. It took New Stones a while to finally win his first race last year, and since that maiden victory he has not been competitive in racing conditions against other winners. He has 21 starts, one win, and six seconds or thirds. This year, he has always run far back in the field. Since it appears that racing is not his game, and it seems so obvious that with his size, looks, and movement that so many sporting disciplines are where he can shine, as his handler said to us, “he needs to find a new job.” He is fully eligible for the 2021 RRP. New Stones has an exceptional sport horse pedigree. He is by Old Fashioned, a son of Unbridled’s Song from Prince John and Hoist the Flag stout lines on the dam side. New Stones’ dam Wellsong is by El Prado,who is a son of the great Sadler’s Wells out of a Sir Ivor mare. Many people in the sport horse world will attest that Unbridled’s Song and Sadler’s Wells close up in the pedigree are ideal!
