Paris Sunshine, 2011, 16h Chestnut Filly

Horses don’t come much more solid bodied than this beautiful golden girl!   Paris Sunshine is the epitome of a gentle giant.  The trainer’s young daughter is deeply attached to this well mannered mare and there were lots of tears when the discussion of selling her came up.  The trainer prefers that Paris go to a home that keeps in touch and provides updates on how she is doing.  Paris has a massive shoulder and hindquarters and the rest of her is sure to catch up as this young girl continues to mature.  She has the look and lovely movement of a fancy show hunter who could fit right in with warmbloods, but we could see her being a powerhouse on the hunt or cross country field.  With her kind demeanor she would also be an excellent pony club horse.  Her trainer reports she loves hanging out at the farm and turns out well with geldings and mares alike.  She has been a good earning racemare,  hitting the board in over half of her races and has stayed sound and willing.  But the next level of competition is proving a challenge for her, so it is time to move this beauty on to a new career.  Because she is such a loved and special and sound filly, her owners insist that a very good home with references is essential.  This mare is very solidly built with a huge barrel.  She will take up a very tall rider’s leg.  She is described as sound, with no vices and excellent manners. She has an old set osselet that she raced soundly on.

She is also well bred, and should attract some interest from breeders for racing or for sport when crossed with warmblood stallions. She is by Any Given Saturday, a young son of champion sire Distorted Humor. Her dam, by top broodmare sire French Deputy, is stakes placed and has produced a couple of six figure winners. Her second dam is a graded stakes winner and stakes producer.
