Kentucky bred Paterson Hill is a stocky, well bred gelding who has had a successful career on the track and now finds himself in tougher company and his connections have decided to retire him. From his 40 lifetime starts, Paterson notched a 50% in the money finishes with a remarkable record of 9 wins, 6 seconds and 4 thirds. He is an example of the kind of runner every stable wants because he can be counted on to bring his A game every time he hits the track. Paterson’s handler reports that he is a complete sweetheart to work around, has no vices and is an all around good doer. We loved his stocky, solid conformation and his very quiet and respectful behavior on a brisk and windy morning. Paterson pretty much stood like a model, as if he knew what was expected of him. We think Paterson has many miles and adventures in his next career with his clean legs and honest, can-do work ethic. He demonstrated light and balanced movement at the jog and showed no signs of stiffness from his race just yesterday. Paterson is by Fusaichi Pegasus out of a Harlan’s Holiday mare.
