This lovely gray daughter of Mizzen Mast, from the Cozzene/Caro sire line, is a beautiful mover, and wow is she durable! She so deserves to leave the racetrack life after racing all over the east coast for 5 years. Her one win was at The Meadowlands on the turf in a one mile race, so the hard dirt track and short races that predominate at Finger Lakes are not her forte. Her pedigree is filled with stout turf horses who are known as good jumping lines: Cozzene, Caro, Prince John, Ribot, Tom Fool, Theatrical, Nureyev. We were all wowed by her big lofty ground covering trot — what a nice mover! With this movement and her pedigree, she has exciting potential for sporting disciplines, whether the hunters, eventing, or dressage. Her handler for her photo shoot explained that she has been very durable and sound (and her legs are clean!), but she has become quite sour about the track life, and really just needs to get some letdown off the track to enjoy turnout and just being a horse before going back into work. Although she is an age that some consider “older”, she has certainly demonstrated a strong work ethic and impressive durability and soundness. With the tincture of time and TLC to bond with her person, we think she will make a willing and stunning mount for your discipline of choice.
