Protect the King, 2014, 16h Dark Bay Mare

Looking for Brawn, Brains and Class all in one? Look no further! This gorgeous mare dazzled in the sunshine on this breezy April day for her meet and greet with our volunteers. Not only did she show off her excellent ground manners, and excellent conformation, but she made it very clear that she loves the attention of her handler. She is described as sound with no stall vices and easy to work with. She enjoys going to work each day and is good to work around in her stall and on the ground. She is by Frost Giant out of a mare by Touch Gold. Frost Giant babies are highly sought after for their athleticism and aptitude in the sporthorse realms and we could certainly see Protect the King being wildly successful in a new career. She does have some old calcification on her right front pastern but has been racing sound on it since she came to her current connections. In her 16 Starts, she has earned just over $10,000 but is not making huge strides at keeping up with the competition in her most recent starts at Penn National. She will continue to train and race at Finger Lakes until she finds her new home. Don’t let this sweetheart sporthorse prospect slip by! Call today to add her to your barn for the summer show season!
