Quail Hollow, 2008 16.2h gray gelding

Breathtaking, stunning, gorgeous …. choose your superlative, for this impressive son of champion sire Tapit deserves them all. We admired his great sloping shoulder, powerful hindquarters, balanced correct conformation, proud and intelligent look to his beautiful head. And as he trotted off for his jog video, we all exclaimed over his outstanding movement. He has suspension, cadence, and a floaty reach to his big stride.  Tapit offspring tend to be athletic, intelligent, and great movers, and this guy is no exception. Another characteristic of Tapits is their proud attitude — they know they are gorgeous hot stuff, and again this guy is no exception.  His owner, who also gallops him, says he is a powerful but well behaved horse who will need an experienced adult rider to deal with his athleticism and big movement. She also reports that during the off season from racing, she has taken him on trail rides, and when they encountered logs in the woods, he willingly jumped right over them. He was pin fired when young, and has some ankle rounding, but she described him as very sound. So those of you looking for a potential upper level event horse, jumper, or dressage prospect, get in line and you had better call fast. Prospects like this don’t come along often.
