This big-bodied gelding has done his time on the race track and is ready to be let down and retire to a new career. He has been a good race horse– with 53 starts and career earnings of over $100,000. While he was very alert during his meet and greet, he was respectful of his handler, despite the excitement of the day. His trainer reports that he has not yet had the benefits of turnout time off the track, but he will likely settle right into a turnout routine in his next career. Reading Group had a splint removal procedure several years ago and returned to racing sound.  Because of this, his trainer would like to see him go somewhere with lower level event/jumper goals.
