Real Deal Lady, 2012, 16.2h Chestnut mare: owner retained for racing

Real Deal Lady has had some success on the race track earning over $73,000 in her 33 starts with 3 wins, 10 seconds, and 4 thirds, but she is letting her connections know that she is ready to move on to another career and is no longer quite as competitive as she once was at the track.  Her trainer reports she is a total sweet heart and does not meet the chestnut mare stereotype at all.  She also reports that she is sound with clean legs.  She shines from good care and is covered is beautiful dapples.  This leggy girl has a cute flat kneed trot which makes us think she may be a nice hunter, but we are sure she could go in any direction you choose.  She is reportedly very quiet and easy to handle and has no stable vices.  She was very polite and jogged on a loose lead despite a thunder storm happening in the background and a naughty horse nearby in the road.  Real Deal Lady may be of interest to breeders for racing or for sport. She is a daughter of Travers winner Flower Alley, who sired Kentucky Derby winner I’ll Have Another.  Flower Alley is a son of super sire Distorted Humor.  Her dam is by champion Pleasant Tap, from the Pleasant Colony/His Majesty sire line, out of a Dixieland Band mare. Her third dam is multiple grade 1 stakes winner Christiecat, and her fourth dam is multiple stakes producer, broodmare of the year Toll Booth, one of the most influential and prolific broodmares of all time.
