Retired, 2010 16.1h chestnut gelding: retained for racing

He is telling his connections that he would indeed prefer to be retired to a new career.  While he has run third in nearly half his races this year, another win is proving elusive, so they are ready to let him go while he is still sound and has so much potential for sport disciplines.  Retired has a beautiful uphill build and good bone, and is described as a very good horse, nice to handle and gallop.  He jogged quietly on a loose lead, and showed off good movement.  He has a terrific pedigree for sport.  He is by Greeley’s Galaxy, from the Gone West sire line, and his dam is by Private Account.  His second dam is a granddaughter of Arts and Letters and Dr. Fager.  This is the type of horse that everyone says they are looking for: handsome, uphill build, young, sound, nice mover, good temperament, and reasonably priced… so go get him!  And then send us updates so we can follow what we are sure will be a successful eventing or H/J career!
