This striking big young gelding ticks all the boxes: sound, good to handle, very nice mover, outstanding athletic potential for sporting disciplines, and lots of chrome!  Ben was definitely a volunteer favorite for the day, and it was obvious to us that the assistant trainer who showed him to us really likes him too!  She kept petting his nose, saying what a good boy he is, and remarking that it looks like he has Mickey Mouse ears on his nose where his blaze comes to an end! Ben is well put together, with a good  hind end and shoulder, and he is clean legged.  He has won three races, which now places him in tougher “non-winners of 4” race conditions, where he is finding the waters deeper, so it is time to let him find a new career. For his jog video he displayed light balanced movement with good engagement from behind and nice reach from his shoulders.  Ben is close to 16.2h now, and he is still growing, and he has enough substance to take up a taller rider’s leg. He is sired by Here Comes Ben, who is a son of Street Cry out of a Danzig line mare. Ben’s dam is by Mazel Trick, a son of Phone Trick.
