If you are looking for a very athletic, big young gelding who is a beautiful mover, then Rocket Hero is for you!  We see upper level potential in this well bred, high energy boy, with a lofty light big step to his ground covering trot. Rocket Hero had raced just a couple of days before his photo session, and he is showing his trainer that he is not competitive in the tougher race conditions he is now eligible for, so it is time to find him a new career where he can excel.  With his leggy uphill build, strong shoulder, big stride, and beautiful movement we can see him excelling in eventing, or as a jumper.  His trainer describes him as an energetic horse who needs an experienced rider.  Rocket Hero’s obvious athleticism impressed us, and his movement dazzled us. His trainer says he is sound on old rounded ankles, which have not bothered him at all in the time he has had him.  We also noted old pin firing marks on his shins, but that is purely a cosmetic issue.  Rocket Hero is a well bred son of young sire Street Hero, and he cost $80,000 as a yearling.  He is a rare bargain now for such a young big gelding with this much athletic potential.
