Located at Finger Lakes Race Track, Farmington, NY (near Rochester, NY).  This very handsome boy displays all the beautiful physical characteristics of a stallion- primarily because he is one! For now anyhow… We have to say that this big hunk was generally polite and well behaved on the very blustery day, although he did exhibit flashes of ‘playful’  behavior in the cold and wind. We loved Salty’s full, beautiful neck, uphill build, and his deep, solid, substantial body. He does have an enlarged RF knee, but his current owner/ trainer tells us that it was like this when he claimed Salty; it is soft and fluid-filled, and he tells us that Salty has successfully raced on it and has not been sore on it. Because it has never caused any issues while he has had him, his current trainer has not had any x-rays taken. Salty broke his maiden at Aqueduct and has had a successful race career since then, earning over $109,000 in his 34 starts, with a 6-11-4 record; that’s hitting on the boards a very impressive 62% of the time! And a strong indicator of his durability, attitude, and work ethic which will help him transition well into a new career.
