Samantacubansoup, 2012 15.3h+ bay mare

Cuteness alert — and adorable and sweet too!  This young mare is sound, sweet, a friendly in your pocket type of girl, and has an appealing stocky uphill build, and she is a very nice mover.  After only three starts, it is clear to her connections that Samanta is not racehorse material, but she sure does have potential for any other discipline.  She is a daughter of Alphabet Soup, from the Cozzene/Caro line — a sire line coveted by show hunters and eventers alike.  Samanta got a late start on training because she was hanging out on a farm that was for sale, and her current owner/trainer bought the farm, and got her as a bonus.  Samanta was very friendly, and one of our volunteers jogged her and she was perfectly behaved,  trotting kindly on a loose lead and showing hardly any reaction when a horse on the nearby walking machine erupted, or when a young stud colt in the barn called out frantically.  The representative of her trainer who showed her to us said this was typical — he said nothing bothers her, and she is very easy going and unflappable.  Her dam is a graded stakes producer who sold for 1 million dollars in utero. We think this pretty girl has unlimited potential for many disciplines — she was a volunteer favorite on a day of many lovely horses.  Beautiful, sound, lightly raced, quiet, nice mover, and bargain priced — call fast for this lovely girl!
