Saratoga Fields, 2011 16h+ chestnut mare

This solid bodied dappled girl with beautiful balanced conformation is a great mover, and in our opinion also an excellent prospect for eventing, dressage, or the show hunter ring.  With her build and strong hind end, she looks to us like she will be quite the jumper!  We initially listed her last year, and given her floaty movement with lots of suspension, she attracted quite a lot of interest. But her owner then decided to sell her to another trainer for more racing. This year, she has not exactly lit up the track, so her current owner/trainer is finally ready to let her move on to a new home and career.  She is still as nice a mover, with flowing reach from the shoulder and suspension and engagement from her hind end.  She is reported to be sound, and we observed clean legs and sound movement.  She is also a kind and polite mare who loves attention and treats, and is good to handle and ride.  She is a daughter of Utopia, and we have placed many of his offspring who have proved to be great movers and jumpers, with good brains, very retrainable. Saratoga Fields has long been a volunteer favorite, and still is… and in light of the fact that we see over 200 horses each year, that is quite an endorsement! So if you are looking for an eventing or dressage or hunter/jumper prospect, you should give serious consideration to the lovely Saratoga Fields.
