SARATOGA PROMISE, 2016 16.2h bay gelding

Located at a farm in Victor NY near the Finger Lakes Race Track.
Look at this flashy big guy with all that eye-catching chrome!  Another quality  horse from great track connections, Saratoga Promise impressed us with his solid bone, uphill build, strong shoulder, and elegant presence. His trainer says he is sound and good to work with, and has no vices.  He is a big strong horse, so an experienced rider would be the best fit for him.  He had just raced three days before we saw him, and far from showing any stiffness or fatigue from racing exertions,  he showed good lofty movement with some toe flicking reach from the shoulders and good push from behind. The trainer reports that he is sound, but after starting his racing career with great promise, winning on the top level NYRA circuit and in allowance level races, this year he seems to have lost interest in racing. He has won 4 of his 17 starts.  He is very well bred, with a pedigree that will make aficionados of the top sport horse lines swoon.  His sire is Violence, a leading sire son of the great Medaglia D’Oro. This is the El Prado/Sadler’s Wells sire line that i the most sought after by eventers.   Violence is out of a Gone West mare — another excellent sport horse sire. Saratoga Promise’s dam is by Bernardini, an AP Indy son and Quiet American grandson whose offspring have excelled in dressage and eventing and jumping. His dam is out of a Pleasant Colony mare, which is the Majesty/Ribot sire line. This guy offers what everyone looking for a top level sport horse prospect says they want, so act fast if you want to bring this stunning well bred guy home.
