She’s Roman, 2012 15.3h chestnut filly

As we walked down the shed row to look for the trainer who had said she had a horse to list, a very pretty and friendly chestnut face came out of a stall to greet us, looking for pats or treats, and we said “oh, we hope that’s the one we are going to list!”  And indeed it was — presenting the adorable She’s Roman. This compact, nicely balanced and clean legged girl with a striking white blaze is described by her trainer as sound, very friendly, great to handle, with no vices, and an easy delight to ride. “Anyone can ride her,” she said. She does whatever the rider asks, and never spooks, pulls or misbehaves. She’s Roman is ready to find a new career because, even though she has been hitting the board, she is not showing enough racing ability to go to the tougher Florida circuit where her trainer races during the winter.  For her jog video, She’s Roman was very polite, staying slow along with her handler, and even though he did not ask her to trot out, we could see nice movement, suspension and lightness.  She’s Roman is a daughter of Corinthian, who is by Pulpit, a son of AP Indy. Her dam is by Woodman, and she has two crosses of Seattle Slew and Alydar in her pedigree. This pedigree certainly suggests jumping ability.  This young filly could go in any direction you choose; her build would suit polo or barrels, but she could also make a great show hunter or event prospect.
