Shining Glitter, 2008 16h chestnut mare: New Video

Update: Shining Glitter is now with an FLF volunteer and is located at a farm in Newark, NY, approximately 20 minutes from the Finger Lakes Race Track.  Glitter is going to enjoy turnout, and start retraining, and may be seen at the farm by appointment.
If ever a mare was going to dispel the “chestnut mare” myth, this darling girl would be the one to do it! What a sweet and feminine mare, with a gleaming coat and a few white spots to give her extra distinction. She was bred in Florida and her only win has been at Tampa Bay Downs. She was entered to race the day we did her interview and proved once again that racing is not her gig, beating one horse in the race despite brief, early speed. Glitter has a beautifully put together body, well balanced with absolutely clean, tight legs. She is reported to be sound and certainly looked sound to us. She has a very kind eye and was very sweet and quiet while we snapped pictures and admired her beauty. She showed lovely movement at the jog and did it on a long, loose lead.  Simply put, what a feminine beauty!  We can see a great show horse career in her future.
