Here is a young, handsome, lightly raced, sound gelding who is still growing! He is a grandson of the great Sunday Silence, and this is the Halo/Hail to Reason sire line that is so coveted in the sport/jumping world. Lots of other good sport/jumping lines in his pedigree: Danehill, Blushing Groom, Icecapade, Arts and Letters, Buckpasser. After only three starts, “SJ’s” trainer is ready to call it a day on this cute, solidly built gelding who just isn’t going to be a consistent winner on the track. His trainer reports that he is sound, that he is nice to ride and goes in a frame when under tack during training. We thought he had a beautiful, expressive face and eye and looks like he might top out at closer to 16.1-16.2. SJ has been out of training and had not been out of his stall for a few days when we photographed him, so was a bit fresh on a cool morning that inspired antics in a lot of the horses on the backside, but he looks to be a cute mover.
