Silky Saint, 2010 16 h dark bay filly: retained for racing

This dark beauty is sweet, sound, and a very nice mover. Silky had recently gone out for her training gallop on the race track and had been put back to bed when she was brought out of the barn for her interview and pictures.  Despite the interruption in her routine, she obliged all of us by being quiet and posing for her
pictures and jogging beautifully on a small stretch of pavement that wasn’t iced over. What a sweet girl! She is reported to be a good citizen to work with on the ground and easy to gallop as well. We loved her beautiful shoulder and were quite impressed with her pretty movement with fluidity and nice tracking up. She is relatively lightly raced with only 22 starts, scoring 4 wins along the way, now being offered for a new start in another sporting career. Her sire, Read the Footnotes, is a son of Smoke Glacken and a grandson of Two Punch — a sire line much coveted by eventers.
