Sky Guy, 2013 16.3h bay gelding

This handsome guy is BIG and solid boned — a 5’7″ person stood next to him to get height estimates, and he was certainly taller than her.  With his very solid body and bone, he could fit right in amongst a group of warmbloods. He has a huge sloping shoulder, which suggests jumping ability. His trainer says he is a strong galloper who can go forever, which suggests he should eat up a cross country course.  Sky Guy is reported by his trainer to be a very nice horse, good to handle and work with. He sure seemed that way for his photo session, posing quietly and jogging politely. A week or so before we took his photos, he had an abscess in his left front that was drained, so his foot was wrapped to keep it clean.  He was also missing a shoe on his left hind.  But despite all that, he jogged soundly, showing off nice movement with loft.  Later in the afternoon of the same day we took his morning photos, we went back to Sky Guy’s barn, and we got to see his foot unwrapped, and watched him jog again, and he showed no unsoundness from the abscess at all. We also watched a video of one of his winning races at Gulfstream Park last March to get more impressions of his movement, and we observed a round lofty gallop out and big strided trot with reach.  Sky Guy is by Noonmark, a son of Unbridled’s Song from the Fappiano sire line. His dam is by Sky Mesa, by Pulpit, who is by A.P Indy.  This is a very promising pedigree for jumping/sport.  Everyone tell us that they are looking for a big, young, sound, nice moving, big boned gelding at a reasonable price — well here he is folks!  Better act fast!
