Sutter’s Mill, 2014, 16.2h+ chestnut gelding

Located at a farm adjacent to the Finger Lakes Race Track in Farmington, NY (near Rochester, NY). This classy boy, who was a $50,000 yearling, is a barn favorite and for good reason! “Stutter” has a beautiful, correct build that will stand out wherever he goes-but we think he sure looks like a hunter! He has a gleaming, dappled coat and his flashy white will make him stand out! He is lightly raced with only 9 lifetime starts (1 win, 1 second, and 1 third). His connections report that he is a gentleman to work with, very sweet, and has no stable vices. During his last workout on May 1, Stutter sustained a mild sesamoid fracture. The vet reports that he has an excellent prognosis for return to sport. His rehab protocol has been followed very strictly as his connections feel he has a lot of potential ahead of him. He is currently moving soundly. Two sets of X-rays have already been taken that show excellent healing. Stutter has completed 40 days of stall rest. The vet reports he can start doing turnout in a small paddock. His trainer would like interested parties to speak with the attending vet to ensure they continue to follow the rehab program correctly. He also stated the owner may pay for an additional set of X-rays prior to leaving the track for his next home. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a young, big, sweet gelding who will be a great partner for someone after a bit more rehab time! Sutter’s Mill is by Smart Strike ouf of a Polish Numbers mare.
