This handsome guy with a stout build and strong shoulder is by Freud, a sire known to produce exceptional sporthorses/jumpers. He has been a successful allowance level race horse, and he has managed to rack up  greater than 50% in-the-money finishes, a tribute to his heart wrapped up in an adorable package. We admired his nice shoulder and powerful engine and, at the jog, he shows nice, balanced movement . Earlier this fall, he developed a sore ankle, so he has not been in training for the last month.  His connections report that the ankle is just slightly warm and just slightly big. They have not x-rayed it.  It most likely would benefit form some further rest.  His connections also state that he has an “attitude” and can test an inexperienced handler, but that once he trusts a person and knows that they are the boss  — a kind boss — deserving of respect, he is fine. On the day we photographed him,  he was perfectly kind with his handler, whom he trusts. He hasn’t had a lot of time away from training and racing, and he is probably racetrack sour and will benefit from some turnout and letdown and further rehab time for his sore ankle.  With that freshening, we think this guy could sneak right into your heart!
