For those who love grays and quiet big boys, here’s a kind, sound young horse for you! Space Hero has been lightly raced and, even though he finished 2nd in
a maiden claiming race the day before we saw him, his connections don’t think he will easily break his maiden. So that means he’s ready to move on and he is
more than ready to leave the racetrack in his rearview mirror! His trainer states that this young fella hasn’t been off the track since he was broke. With some time off to finish growing and fill out, we think he will top out at 16.2 or maybe even bigger.
When brought out of the barn we were struck by at his very quiet personality. His trainer joked that when he first got him, he thought something was wrong with him because he is so quiet! He was thoroughly checked out, and yes he is fine, and yes he really is that quiet and laid back! He was certainly polite and cooperative during his photo shoot this morning.His trainer states that he is sound and, having run yesterday, he was a bit stiff today, which is not unusual. This sweet boy could be a diamond in the rough when given the tincture of time.
