Starship Chloe, 2010 16.2h chestnut/roan mare

What striking unusual roaning on this big, solid bodied, well put together beauty!  Starship Chloe looks to us like she will transition into a very eye-catching horse in the show ring.  She is a sound and hard-knocking, dance every dance type of racehorse, with 15 starts so far this year, and 20 last year. This indicates she is very sound, with a great work ethic. But she is also letting her people know that she just wants to be done with the racing game, and would prefer to find a new career. Her handler told us that she is a very quiet, always well behaved horse, with no vices.  We admired her excellent conformation and solid boned uphill build.  Chloe had raced the day before her photo session with us, and she seemed a bit stiff, but with hints of very nice movement once she is off the track and gets some let down, turn out, and possibly chiropractic work to deal with her likely body soreness from so much racing.  Her pedigree is excellent for sport/jumping disciplines. She is by Wild Desert, who is from the Wild Again sire line out of a mare from the Damascus sire line. Her dam is by a son of Roberto. There is no Storm Cat, Northern Dancer, or Mr. Prospector in her pedigree, very unusual for contemporary US thoroughbreds. She would be a great outcross for TB breeding, but we think she could excel as a sport horse broodmare crossed with jumping or dressage warmblood stallions.  Chloe has unlimited potential for any discipline!
