We had the pleasure of photographing two lovely and sweet bay sisters that brightened up a gray and blustery day — the Starship sisters!  We present here Starship Rockette, a solid bodied kind -eyed girl who is as sweet as the peppermints she kept lapping up from one of our volunteers.  By the time we got to her barn, Rockette was already done up in front wraps after her morning work, but the Assistant Trainer, who is the contact person, assures us that her legs are completely clean and that Rockette is sound and has not had any issues and is a very good sweet mare to work with.  Earlier in her racing career she was running at Saratoga, Belmont, and Gulfstream, where she found the waters a bit deep for her. Since moving to Finger Lakes she finally broke her maiden, and has hit the board a few times, but after 19 total races the owner/breeder realizes she will never be a top level racer, so it is time to let her find a new career. This decision to move her on to a new career will be to your benefit — we think this very pretty peppermint loving mare wants to be spoiled and doted on. She is a lovely mover, light and balanced, and we think she might be a very cute children’s hunter or pleasure mount. Rockette has excellent balanced solid bodied conformation, with a strong shoulder and a big hind end. She is by Wildcat Heir out of Starship Kitty, by Tale of the Cat.
