There is nothing not to like about this boy. He had our volunteers oohing and ahhing as soon as we met this cuddly, pampered boy in his stall. His trainer has many hunter/jumper connections and is known for having quality, quality animals in his barn. Stone Crab is no different! “Crabby Patty” as he is known by his caretaker is a very sweet boy with excellent manners. We watched as he quietly stood munching his hay while having both of his blankets taken off (did we mention pampered)? She reports he is easy to handle, as his trainer puts lots of time into developing his horses’ manners, which we recall from past listings. She also reports that he has no known soundness issues or vices. He stood perfectly still during his photo shoot on this very chilly, windy day. He jogged quietly on a loose lead. We could see him really appealing to the hunter shoppers or those looking to bring along their first OTTB with a trainer. He seemed to have an excellent brain sitting behind those kind, intelligent eyes. His pedigree should make him quite attractive as an eventing or jumping prospect. His sire is Stephen Got Even, by AP Indy out of a Cox’s Ridge mare with Rahy/Blushing Groom in her close up pedigree. Stone Crab’s dam is by Not for Love, and has produced multiple NY stakes winner Frosty Margarita. We would love to follow this guys career, which is sure to be full of success.
