Stone Supplier, 2012 16h chestnut mare

Located at Finger Lakes Race Track, Farmington, NY (near Rochester).
This very sweet mare is a very good mover, clean legged, and has unlimited potential for so many new sporting disciplines. On a day when our volunteers saw a huge number of horses, those of us who had the privilege to see the lovely Stone Supplier came away convinced that she was one of the most athletic and nicest offerings of the day!  She has solid bodied  balanced conformation with a strong shoulder and a very powerful looking hind end, and her legs are very clean.  We felt her legs and picked up her feet, and were impressed by how cold and smooth and tight her legs are, and how good her feet looked — and how polite she was about all of our handling. She showed lofty ground covering movement for her jog video, leaving us impressed with her athletic potential. Her trainer says she is a very good horse to handle, is sound, has no vices. She was very friendly and quiet for our photo session, and politely took our offered peppermints.  As a testament to her multidisciplinary appeal, the group of us who saw her included a show hunter rider, an eventer, and a barrel racer — and all of us thought she was great, and could excel in our different disciplines.  The trainer invited us into her stall to see how friendly and sweet she is, and one of the people who was with us video’d  her in-stall interactions with Stone Supplier, who was friendly, polite, curious, and very accepting of a stranger entering her stall.
Stone Supplier has 6 wins and an additional 14 placings in her 50 races, with over $150,000 in earnings. But this year, in her 12 races, she has managed only one third. So her trainer realizes that her best racing days are behind her, and it is time to let her move on to a new career while she is still sound and happy.  With the end of the racing season at Finger Lakes rapidly approaching, the trainer is very motivated to find her a new home very soon — so please do not hesitate on stepping up for this lovely athletic and kind mare!
She is by Bustin Stones, a son of City Zip. We have placed many of Bustin Stones’ offspring over the last few years, and they tend to be athletic, with good brains and even temperaments.  We know of Bustin Stones offspring that are succeeding in new careers ranging from barrels to trails, and eventing, jumping and show hunters as well.  Stone Supplier;s dam sold for over $200,000 as a two year old, and she is by Mr. Greeley, a son of Gone West, and is out of a mare by the great Derby winner Ferdinand.
This mare is a true end of season bargain!
