Summer Brother, 2012 16.2h+ dark bay gelding

This handsome, stakes placed and very good moving young gelding has unlimited potential for many new careers — he is what everyone says they want, and at a bargain price!  Summer Brother’s owner/trainer describes him as gentle, good to work with, but just not wanting to run this year, despite his success in the past, when he was stakes placed as a two  year old. We admired his uphill build, good bone structure, and beautiful trot with suspension and reach. We can see him excelling in eventing or dressage.  Summer Brother has a lump on his rear fetlock, from a wound he suffered this spring while with another barn — we were told that he got loose, cut his hind ankle, and the previous connections did not properly care for it.  His current trainer says he has brought it down a great deal, and that with continued care the lump should continue to go down to the point where it will be a minor cosmetic blemish. It causes no soundness issues, and Summer Brother has raced on it.  This cosmetic blemish means a bargain price for Summer Brother –he may be the steal of the season! He has a great pedigree for sporting/jumping disciplines. He is by Purge, a son of Pulpit and grandson of AP Indy, out of a Copelan mare. His dam is by Hennessy out of a Cryptoclearance mare, which is the great Fappiano sire line.
