Tannuzzo, 2015 16.2+h dark bay filly

Located at Finger Lakes Race Track for a few more days, then at her trainer’s farm near the track.
This big well-bred and lightly raced daughter of Freud is described as a sweet good girl, easy to work with, and with no vices.  In her last race on Nov. 25, she was checked and pulled up and came back with swelling around her suspensory down by her fetlock. They have not taken ultrasounds or x-rays.  Minor swelling was observed when we photographed her 4 days after the race. But considering the recent injury, Tannuzzo walked and jogged remarkably well, and showed what will be very good movement once she is fully healed.  The trainer reported that with some rest and rehab she should be fine for any discipline. So this presents an enticing opportunity to pick up a big and very good looking young daughter of Freud, who sold for $65,000 as a yearling,  for a bargain price. Freud is a full brother to Giant’s Causeway, and in his own right he too is a very popular sire of sport horses.  We have placed many Freud offspring over the years, and they tend to be very good movers, athletic, and excellent jumpers. Tannuzzo’s dam, Golden Galaxy, is by Gold Fever, and she was a major winner at the allowance level at Belmont and Aqueduct, earning over $200,000.  So Tannuzzo also offers broodmare appeal, either for racing or for sport horses.
Price:  $750 negotiable
