Tequila Roar, 2012 16.1h dark bay gelding – sold for racing

A barn favorite, Tequila is a homebred so his breeder/owner/trainer can tell you his entire history. He says that he is a great horse to handle and be around with a winning personality, and is a big hearted hard try-er with a great work ethic. He has 5 wins and 14 top three finishes in his 29 races, but recently Tequila has been less competitive and seems to have lost his zest for racing, so as much as everyone in the barn loves him, they realize it is time to let him move on to a new career. Tequila Roar has unusual white spots on his chest — it almost looks like he was splashed with paint. His owner/trainer says that he had a skin condition when he was a youngster that caused some hair loss, and when the condition cleared and the hair grew back, it came in white. We think that his spots add to Tequila’s appeal! Tequila is described as sound — the poultice on his legs was standard post-training protocol in this barn. While the poultice makes it look as though he has four socks, he actually has three white socks — but there’s plenty of chrome on him to make him stand out! Tequila showed good even movement for his jog video, even though he had to jog on potholed uneven pavement. He is by Roaring Fever out of a Cobra King mare.  Tequila Roar can go in any direction you want for a new career!
